Dave is the Team Director and Head Coach of Tampa Bay Tri-Sports. He is a USAT Level I certified coach and USA Cycling Level 3 coach.

            

Dave originally started out as an avid cyclist and has converted to competing in triathlons during the past several years. He has participated in 12 hour endurance mountain bike races, XC mountain bike racing, criteriumns, road cycling events, time trials, sprint, Olympic, and Long Course (70.3 half Iron) distance triathlons.  Dave is also a Paralympic Military Handcycling coach working on training injured veterans cycling techniques in handcycling.  Dave is also a youth triathlon coach for Team ATS’s USAT National Youth Development Camp in Austin, Texas.


Dave is a cancer survivor partnering with the Prostate Cancer Foundation and is a member of the Athletes for a Cure Triathlon Team for St Anthony’s Triathlon in 2008 and 2009. Dave has also coached little league baseball, recreation center basketball and both junior and adult tennis. He also has worked as a lifeguard and an emergency medical technician. Dave believes in keeping the training program effective to allow the athletes to achieve their goals while keeping the program fun and building team camaraderie at the same time.

By day, Dave works in the financial investment industry and trains every moment he can. He currently lives in Land O’ Lakes, Florida with his wife, Kara and son, Kyle both of whom are triathletes.
